Our teams

Our teams are usually structured as below:

Support for team members

The physiotherapy team offers a fantastic support system of highly skilled and specialist physiotherapists who support new starters and other colleagues, helping develop their clinical and research skills.

Our staff have a dedicated supervisor with one-to-one monthly meetings to provide ongoing support and development. You will have annual appraisals and regular reviews to identify your learning needs and outcomes and your supervisor will assist you with the appraisal process.

Qualified staff will be given opportunities to develop experience and confidence in becoming a clinical educator and there are opportunities to support and supervise team members as well as work experience students.

Continued professional development

Our team members are all encouraged to participate in their own continued professional development (CPD).  There will be opportunities to attend in-service training and journal clubs, to assist in local and national audits and join internal and external courses. Staff on the band 5 rotations will also be involved in the preceptorship training programme.

Research

As a Trust, we are very keen to help develop and support research activity. We have a Research Lead and over 20 members of physiotherapy staff who have been or are actively involved in research activities. We have been successful in obtaining funding to support research and regularly present at conferences, write publications and collaborate with universities. We are looking for graduates who have an enquiring mind and would like to get involved in our research studies.

Join a great team

We are a friendly group and often organise social nights and events. Wellbeing at Work also offers discounted and free activities and therapies to all staff to help achieve a healthier lifestyle
